You have delivered me from the lowest Sheol

Psalms 86:13
For Your lovingkindness is great toward me, / And You have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.

The Lord's loving kindness is abundant to us. In the midst of distress, we need to acknowledge a couple of things that enable us to go on in Him.

First, He is gracious to us and thus regardless of what kind of situation we are in, He is near and willing to uphold us. Even if our soul is down to the lowest Sheol where despair and lies dwell. There, we can find His promise for us - His presence, peace, and hope.

Second, after acknowledging His lovingkindness never fails, what else can we do? We continue to do what we have to do with a single heart fearing the Lord.

Psalms 86:11-12
Teach me, O Jehovah, Your way; / I will walk in Your truth. / Make my heart single in fearing Your name.
I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart; / And I will glorify Your name forever.

What we need to do doesn't change. We cling to God to learn His way and truth; it is the Lord's responsibility to make our heart single in fearing His Name. In such sweet exchanges with God, praises will rise up from our hearts. In good times or bad times, our responsibility is the same. To continue to learn His way and walk in His truth. We accomplish these by having conversations with the Lord and coming to His Word.

Thank You, Lord, even when my soul feels uncomfortable with the environment, what I do is the same. Nothing can separate Your love from us, and thus I can come to Thee with boldness and hope.

Praise You, Lord!
